Quick Summary (TL;DR)

We collect info you give us (like profiles and messages), info from others (like reviews), and data for safety (like background checks with your permission). We use this to match families and nannies, improve our service, and ensure safety. You control your info, and we don't sell it. Contact legal@thenannypros.com for any privacy concerns.

The Nanny Pros is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our Services. This Privacy Policy applies to users of our website, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Services"), including those seeking nanny services ("Families" or "Clients") and those looking to provide nanny services ("Nannies" or "Candidates").

  • Communications: Information provided when you contact customer support, communicate through our platform (messages, calls), or interact with us via email, phone, or mail.
  • Payment Information: If you use paid services, we or our payment processors collect payment method details (e.g., credit card number, billing address).

1B. Information from Third Parties

  • Reviews and References: Users may post reviews or provide references about Nannies. Families may rate Nannies.
  • Third-Party Verification: We may use third-party services to verify identity, conduct background checks (with your explicit consent), and check information against public records (e.g., criminal databases, sex offender registries) to promote safety.
  • Employers (if applicable): If you access our Services through an employer benefits program, your employer might provide basic information about your eligibility.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various business purposes:

  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or government requests.

3. How We Disclose Information

We may share your information in the following ways:

    • Reviews and references you provide or receive may be displayed.

These providers are obligated to protect your information.
  • For Safety and Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of our users or the public, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your information with third parties when we have your explicit consent to do so.
  • Background Checks: If you, as a Nanny, consent to a background check requested by a Family, the results will be shared with that Family (and you). A badge indicating completion may appear on your profile.
